Activity 2025-26

Activity 2025-26

“All study and no play makes Jack a dull boy” – a famous proverb well entrenched in our minds since childhood.

It is widely accepted that extracurricular activities are the best way of developing an individual’s personality and trimming down mental stress. A child can improve his/ her skills and enhance their confidence level.

   Physical Development Sessions

Children at the foundational stage need a significant number of physical activities to develop their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and overall physical health. Recognizing the importance of fostering a holistic development environment, our school, GD Goenka Public School Model Town Junior, has prioritized the integration of diverse physical activities into daily routines to nurture well-rounded development in our little ones. The aim of incorporating physical activities is to instill a lifelong habit of active living. Our school remains committed to continuously enriching our curricula to ensure that children develop a positive attitude towards physical activities, laying the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Settling Days Grade Nursery

 Disney Dreamer’s Kingdom

My first joyful experience at School

At Goenka, our first journey this year started by stepping into the magical world, a day filled with joy, imagination, and a sprinkle of Disney magic! The excitement was sky-high as little ones stepped into a world inspired by their favourite characters — Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Children were delighted to explore our very own Mickey and Minnie-themed playhouses! With cheerful music, colourful decor, it felt like stepping into a real Disney storybook.  Our brave little adventurers had a blast navigating through the Mickey Minnie Maze, working together to find their way out while laughing, learning, and building confidence along the way.

Fun day Grade: Nursery

The Academic session 2025-2026 began with a delightful Fun Day filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments! The day began with a cozy movie time, where little ones relaxed and enjoyed a fun-filled animated film with their friends. Next, they visited the Popcorn Corner, where the aroma of freshly popped corn and the joy of munching on a tasty treat brought big smiles to their faces.

The excitement continued with a thrilling train ride that took the children on a joyful little journey, filling the air with cheerful giggles and waving hands. The grand finale was the bouncy ride, where our young explorers jumped, bounced, and laughed to their hearts’ content.

It was a day packed with fun, laughter, and happy memories that our little ones will treasure for a long time!

Early year’s heaven

A refined space for young learners

Our students began their journey into learning with an exciting space-themed settling-in day! They were excited to enter classrooms transformed into dreamy Imaginary Heaven-themed classroom — a soft, serene space where imagination could take flight and hearts could settle in peace and an outer space adventure which was both comforting and captivating. The twinkling fairy lights sparkled like stars, creating a magical and cozy environment engaging in imaginative play. The classroom was filled with space elements: hanging planets, friendly alien cutouts, rocket ships and a moon crater play zone with white balloons. Each element was crafted with care, offering hands-on sensory experiences and sparking storytelling and creativity. Our little Goenkans enjoyed making rocket craft by tearing and pasting paper which was enjoyable and a small souvenir for the heavenly and space theme day.

With laughter, wonder, and a little stardust, our students began their year in the most magical way—reaching for the stars from day one!

Nature Riders

 Building the joy of learning

“Nature is our playground, full of colours, smells, and smiles!”

Our little explorers turned into Nature Riders for a day filled with wonder, fresh air, and hands-on learning! With curious minds and adventurous spirits, the children stepped outside to connect with the beauty of the natural world around them.

The children learned about soil, seeds, and how plants grow, nurturing a new appreciation for nature. From picking colourful flowers to spotting fluttering butterflies and gathering smooth, shiny pebbles, every step was an exciting discovery! The joy of observing nature up close sparked endless questions and conversations. The Nature Riders Day reminded us all of the simple joys of the outdoors and how nature can be the best teacher of all.

Theme: Whispers of the Wild

Fostering Curiosity and Grace

Our Goenkans had an exciting time celebrating the theme “Whispers of the Wild” at school! The day was filled with wonder as the little explorers embarked on a thrilling Walk in the Wild activity, where they discovered the magic of nature, fostering curiosity and pretended to be jungle adventurers.

The fun continued with joyful moments on the bouncy, where they jumped and played with endless energy and laughter. It was a day of imagination, exploration, and pure delight—bringing the wild to life in the most playful way!

First Day Of New Session

The start of a new session is always a time filled with excitement. Our little Goenkans had a warm atmosphere today as the day was filled with mixed emotions.

The first day of school went well and was filled with joy and enthusiasm. The children arrived with bright smiles. It was heartwarming to see them engage in activities, make new friends, and start their learning journey.

Special Assembly

A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Earth Day. The assembly aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of caring for our planet.

The assembly began with the prayer. Students sang lively songs about nature and the environment, such as “Earth Song” and “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, followed by a foot-tapping performance.

Later, children created earth crafts, which enhanced their sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.

The celebration was a great success, with children actively participating and showing enthusiasm for protecting the environment. The activities helped children understand simple ways to contribute positively to Earth’s well-being.
