Baisakhi Assembly Grade-Nursery & KG

Baisakhi is celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal in the Punjab region, where it holds a special cultural and religious significance.

To memorialize Baisakhi festival, a special assembly was planned for Nursery and KG students in GD Goenka Public School Model Town Junior on Friday, 12-04-2024.

The assembly commenced with the students reciting the prayer, followed by a brief introduction about Baisakhi by the students of grade KG stating the significance of the festival.

The choir group sang a Baisakhi song followed by a group dance on a popular Bhangra song, which added a festive atmosphere to the assembly.

It was mesmerising to see students performing dressed in traditional vibrant Punjabi attire.

Students of Nursery and KG made corncob craft and dhol craft, decorated with glitter and sequins. This hands-on activity allowed them to express their artistic flair

while learning about traditional crafts. The celebration was a learning experience, allowing our little ones to explore and appreciate the diverse culture that makes our world so rich and beautiful
