It is widely accepted that extracurricular activities are the best way of developing an individual’s personality and trimming down mental stress. A child can improve his/ her skills and enhance their confidence level.


Grandparents’ Day

 

“Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love.”

Grandparents’ Day – अनुभव और प्यार का संगम was celebrated on Saturday, 20th September 2025, with great warmth and affection. The celebration began with students welcoming grandparents through soulful songs and graceful dances, setting the tone for a memorable day. Heart-touching lines emphasized the irreplaceable role of grandparents in shaping a child’s life.

A thoughtful skit beautifully depicted the unconditional support and guidance that grandparents provide within the family. To add to the joy, grandparents enthusiastically participated in fun-filled games, filling the atmosphere with laughter and bonding. The program reached its peak with a vibrant finale dance by the students, leaving everyone with smiles and cherished memories.

The celebration concluded with refreshments, as love, respect, and togetherness marked the day.

Teachers’ Day Celebration

 

“To honor the noble profession of teaching, Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 4th September with great enthusiasm at our school.”

The little Goenkans began the special day with the soulful chanting of “Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu…” highlighting the invaluable role of a teacher in one’s life. They shared the significance of the day, sang a melodious song, and staged a skit beautifully depicting how every profession is shaped by a teacher. A heartfelt dance performance added grace and warmth to the celebration.

As a mark of appreciation, teachers were honored with badges reflecting their contributions and individual strengths. The celebration truly reflected respect, gratitude, and love for the mentors who inspire and guide young minds every day.

 

Independence Day- A weeklong celebration

Independence Day_ A weeklong celebration at Gd Goenka Public School successfully fostered patriotism, awareness about cleanliness, and national pride among the children. It was a memorable event that inspired young learners to imbibe the values of their freedom and responsibility towards society.

 August 11, 2025

An effort to foster patriotism and cultural awareness among students, a special activity was organized where students learned about the national symbols of India through art work. The aim was to develop an understanding of the significance of each symbol.

August 12, 2025

Swachh Bharat Initiative: As part of the celebration, a special activity was dedicated to promoting cleanliness and hygiene under the Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat. Children participated actively where they learned about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean.

 August 13, 2025

On August 13th, our school celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event aimed to instill a sense of national pride, awareness about cleanliness, and the importance of unity among young learners.

Our little ones presented a series of lively and colorful performances to honor the nation. The program began with a heartfelt flag hoisting ceremony, where children sang the national anthem with pride. Following this, students performed patriotic songs, dances, and skits depicting the freedom struggle and national heroes. The performances showcased their creativity and love for the country.

Janmashtami Celebration 

“Where there is devotion, there is joy,

and where there is joy, there is Krishna.”

 

Janmashtami, the joyous occasion of Lord Krishna’s birthday, was celebrated in our school with great zest and zeal. The day began with soulful bhajans sung by our little devotees, filling the atmosphere with divine melody. The charming little gopis delighted everyone with their graceful dance, while our adorable Makhan Chor Krishna, along with his friends, danced merrily with Radha and the gopis.

A highlight of the celebration was the Matki Handi, which brought excitement and laughter to the children. As a take away craft, the girls carried home beautifully decorated matkis, while the boys proudly took away Krishna’s handcrafted headbands. The celebration not only immersed our little Goenkans in cultural traditions but also filled their hearts with joy, togetherness, and festive cheer.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration 

“A bond between a brother and sister is woven with love, laughter, and lifelong promises.”

 

The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and warmth by the tiny tots of Nursery and KG. The celebration commenced with a morning prayer, filling the air with peace and positivity. Children sang joyful rhymes and songs celebrating the beautiful bond between brothers and sisters. A delightful skit by Nursery students explained the essence of Raksha Bandhan, emphasizing the love shared with siblings and first cousins. The little performers conveyed deep emotions through their innocent expressions and dialogues. This was followed by soul-stirring dance performances by both Nursery and KG students, which left the audience touched and amazed. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, the children brought festive spirit alive on stage.
A symbolic rakhi-tying ceremony further demonstrated the traditions associated with the festival. The event beautifully nurtured values of love, care, and cultural pride in our young learners.

 

Mango Bonanza Celebration

 

The little Goenkans of GD Goenka Public School Junior presented Mango Bonanza, a celebration dedicated to the sweet and luscious mango harvest. The event aimed to promote awareness about mango cultivation and its nutritional benefits and to provide a fun-filled experience. The students learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and cooperation while working together in groups. The little ones welcomed the parents with mango drinks and showcased various varieties of mangoes, mango bakery items, and mango dishes from different states and products made of mango, followed by the mesmerizing stage performances. A tempting mango pudding counter was there to serve the parents. The event fostered creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making as the student’s designed presentations and engaged with various activities. They confidently expressed themselves on stage, enhancing their communication and public speaking skills. Most importantly, it instilled in them a sense of pride, confidence, and joy in showcasing their efforts—laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and holistic development.

Story Telling Competition Grade: Nursery and KG

 

Stories give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of the physical world. Keeping this in mind, GD Goenka Public School Junior conducted a storytelling competition for the students of grades Nursery and KG.

The aim of this competition was to build language and social-emotional skills in our little learners. 

The students narrated a story of their choice based on the holiday engagement with appropriate props. Each child delivered their story confidently, with expressive gestures and voice modulation. The competition concluded with certificates of winning positions to motivate continued interest. Such competitions foster a sense of achievement and community spirit among the students.

Fun Day

Our little Goenkans marked the last day before summer vacation with a fun-filled celebration. They engaged in physical activities by playing with hooplas and enjoying joyful jumps. Children danced to the lively beats of “Bum Bum Bole” and watched a jungle-themed movie with excitement. The day ended with musical chairs and fun games, filling their hearts with happiness and laughter.

Splashy Smiles Bash

GD Goenka Public School Junior, Model Town organized a pool party extravaganza for children of grade Nursery and KG on 13th and 14th May,2025.

Our little learners had a splashing good time at the much-awaited pool party. It was a joyful blend of laughter, water play and vibrant energy, giving our tiny tots a chance to cool off and bond with their friends in a fun filled setting. Cheerful music created a delightful atmosphere turning school’s front lawn into a mini water wonderland. Dressed in their favorite swimwear, children enjoyed every moment under careful supervision of our dedicated staff.

The splash-tastic day brought endless smiles and lasting memories in our early childhood program. Summer days are made of sunshine, laughter and a little splash to beat the heat, and our pool party had it all.

  Mother’s Day Celebration

 

Mother is the most special gift from God. To celebrate her love, care, and support, GD Goenka Junior celebrated Mother’s Day on Friday, 9th May 2025. The little Goenkans of Grade Nursery made the day memorable by welcoming their moms with warm smiles, cheerful songs, a delightful skit, and energetic dance performances.

The school was filled with joy, laughter, and love. Our adorable students showed their appreciation through heartfelt gestures, and their performances brought happy tears to many eyes. It was a proud moment for all the mothers to see their children on stage.

The celebration did not stop with the kids. Our amazing moms also participated with great enthusiasm. They sang songs, danced with their little ones, played exciting games, and confidently walked the ramp. Their talents and cheerful spirits lit up the entire event.

It was truly a special day that brought children and their mothers closer, creating beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. The event ended with lots of hugs, smiles, and a feeling of warmth in every heart.

My first joyful experience at School

 

At Goenka, our first journey this year started by stepping into the magical world, a day filled with joy, imagination, and a sprinkle of Disney magic! The excitement was sky-high as little ones stepped into a world inspired by their favourite characters — Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Children were delighted to explore our very own Mickey and Minnie-themed playhouses! With cheerful music, colourful decor, it felt like stepping into a real Disney storybook.  Our brave little adventurers had a blast navigating through the Mickey Minnie Maze, working together to find their way out while laughing, learning, and building confidence along the way.


Fun day Grade: Nursery

The Academic session 2025-2026 began with a delightful Fun Day filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments! The day began with a cozy movie time, where little ones relaxed and enjoyed a fun-filled animated film with their friends. Next, they visited the Popcorn Corner, where the aroma of freshly popped corn and the joy of munching on a tasty treat brought big smiles to their faces.

The excitement continued with a thrilling train ride that took the children on a joyful little journey, filling the air with cheerful giggles and waving hands. The grand finale was the bouncy ride, where our young explorers jumped, bounced, and laughed to their hearts’ content.

It was a day packed with fun, laughter, and happy memories that our little ones will treasure for a long time!


Early year’s heaven

A refined space for young learners

Our students began their journey into learning with an exciting space-themed settling-in day! They were excited to enter classrooms transformed into dreamy Imaginary Heaven-themed classroom — a soft, serene space where imagination could take flight and hearts could settle in peace and an outer space adventure which was both comforting and captivating. The twinkling fairy lights sparkled like stars, creating a magical and cozy environment engaging in imaginative play. The classroom was filled with space elements: hanging planets, friendly alien cutouts, rocket ships and a moon crater play zone with white balloons. Each element was crafted with care, offering hands-on sensory experiences and sparking storytelling and creativity. Our little Goenkans enjoyed making rocket craft by tearing and pasting paper which was enjoyable and a small souvenir for the heavenly and space theme day.

With laughter, wonder, and a little stardust, our students began their year in the most magical way—reaching for the stars from day one!


Nature Riders

 Building the joy of learning

“Nature is our playground, full of colours, smells, and smiles!”

Our little explorers turned into Nature Riders for a day filled with wonder, fresh air, and hands-on learning! With curious minds and adventurous spirits, the children stepped outside to connect with the beauty of the natural world around them.

The children learned about soil, seeds, and how plants grow, nurturing a new appreciation for nature. From picking colourful flowers to spotting fluttering butterflies and gathering smooth, shiny pebbles, every step was an exciting discovery! The joy of observing nature up close sparked endless questions and conversations. The Nature Riders Day reminded us all of the simple joys of the outdoors and how nature can be the best teacher of all.

 


Theme: Whispers of the Wild

Our Goenkans had an exciting time celebrating the theme “Whispers of the Wild” at school! The day was filled with wonder as the little explorers embarked on a thrilling Walk in the Wild activity, where they discovered the magic of nature, fostering curiosity and pretended to be jungle adventurers.

The fun continued with joyful moments on the bouncy, where they jumped and played with endless energy and laughter. It was a day of imagination, exploration, and pure delight—bringing the wild to life in the most playful way!


First Day Of New Session

The start of a new session is always a time filled with excitement. Our little Goenkans had a warm atmosphere today as the day was filled with mixed emotions.

The first day of school went well and was filled with joy and enthusiasm. The children arrived with bright smiles. It was heartwarming to see them engage in activities, make new friends, and start their learning journey.

Special Assembly

A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Earth Day. The assembly aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of caring for our planet.

 The assembly began with the prayer. Students sang lively songs about nature and the environment, such as “Earth Song” and “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, followed by a foot-tapping performance.

 Later, children created earth crafts, which enhanced their sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.

The celebration was a great success, with children actively participating and showing enthusiasm for protecting the environment. The activities helped children understand simple ways to contribute positively to Earth’s well-being.
